Elizabeth A. Sackler is an American public historian and activist.
Life
In June 2014, Elizabeth A. Sackler became the first woman to be elected by the Brooklyn Museum Board of Trustees as the Museum’s Chair.[1] She is President of The Arthur M. Sackler Foundation, NYC; founder and President of the American Indian Ritual Object Repatriation Foundation,[2] President of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Foundation; member of the Board of Trustees of the Brooklyn Museum,[3] and the founder of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, the first museum devoted to female artists and feminist art, located at the Brooklyn Museum.[4]
