Electoral (Amendment) Act 1969

The Electoral (Amendment) Act, 1969 (No. 3/1969) was a law in Ireland which provided for parliamentary constituencies in the 19th Dáil (1969–73) and the 20th Dáil (1973–77).[1] The 19th Dáil Éireann was elected at the 1969 general election on 18 June 1969 and the 20th Dáil was elected at the 1973 general election on 28 February 1973.

This Act replaced the Electoral (Amendment) Act 1961, which defined the constituencies used for the 17th Dáil (1961–65) and the 18th Dáil (1965–69). It was itself replaced by the Electoral (Amendment) Act 1974, which created a new pattern of constituencies for the 21st Dáil (elected in 1977).
