Eczacıbaşı Spor Kulübü men's basketball (in English: Eczacıbaşı Sports Club), commonly known as Eczacıbaşı, was a professional basketball club based in İstanbul, Turkey. The team competed in the Turkish Basketball Super League.

History

Eczacıbaşı S.K. men's basketball team, established in 1968 as the basketball section of the Turkish industrial group of companies Eczacıbaşı Holding[1] and began to struggle in Turkey Basketball League. After this date became one of the most successful teams in Turkey, having won 2 times the 2. Turkey Basketball League (1974, 1991) and mostly 8 times the Turkey Basketball League.[2] Eczacıbaşı's basketball team, also won the President's Cup in 1988 against Fenerbahçe.

At the start of the 1992-93 season Eczacıbaşı Sports Club Board took the decision that ended their basketball team activities on 3 August 1992 (1992 because of falling for the second time), and the team is distributed by announcing its withdrawal from the league.
