East Sussex County Hall

East Sussex County Hall is a modern building occupied by East Sussex County Council in Lewes.

History

County Hall was initially established in the High Street in Lewes in the building now occupied by Lewes Crown Court.[1] In November 1938 the Council moved to Pelham House in Lewes and in 2003 it moved to in St Anne's Crescent in Lewes.[1] The building in St Anne's Crescent was designed by Jack Catchpole and the sculptures are by William George Mitchell.[2]
