A state-of-the-art media center, modern science labs, and an elevator were part of the new construction. The school operates under the authority of the New Jersey Department of Education and has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Secondary Schools since 1939.[3]

As of the 2013-14 school year, the school had an enrollment of 833 students and 67.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.3:1. There were 64 students (7.7% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 28 (3.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.[1]
