Drew Lynch is a stand-up comedian. He appeared on the tenth season of America's Got Talent and finished in second place.

Background

Born in Indiana and raised in Las Vegas, Drew graduated high school with aspirations of becoming a fully articulate film actor in Los Angeles. At age 19 at a company softball game, Drew got hit in the throat causing some vocal trauma, turning his chattering into stuttering. With this life-changing injury and passion for writing and performing stand up, he began bringing to life the social hardships of dealing with a speech impediment.[1]

America's Got Talent

Drew Lynch's audition consisted of joking about how his stutter affected his working at a drive-thru and voicing a GPS system. Moved by his performance, Howie Mandel pressed his Golden Buzzer to send Drew straight to the Quarterfinals. Drew Lynch's Week 1 Quarterfinals performance consisted of joking about having a service dog (and expecting a magic chihuahua), answering for his dog, and his cat having Tourette's syndrome (possibly a reference to his colleague Samuel Conroe). Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel gave him standing ovations. Drew received enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals along with Paul Zerdin, instead of Showproject. Drew Lynch's Week 1 Semifinals performance consisted of joking about his talking on the phone sounding like a bad reception and a woman, trying to pay off his bills two weeks late, and him sounding like he is telling someone he is pregnant. Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel gave Drew standing ovations. Drew received enough votes to be sent to the Finals instead of Siro-A. Drew Lynch's Finals performance consisted of lacking conviction in his voice, spending too much time giving his phone number to his girlfriend, and his girlfriend's bust. Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel gave him standing ovations. For the finale, Drew Lynch attempted to roast Gary Vider. When guest Jeffrey Ross insisted that they were too nice, Jeffrey roasted both the comedians and the judges. Drew and Gary then retorted by roasting Jeffrey. Drew was revealed to be in the Top 5 instead of Gary Vider. Drew was revealed to have finished in second place in the competition, in front of Oz Pearlman, Stevie Starr, and The CraigLewis Band, but behind Paul Zerdin.[2]

Other Appearances

Drew Lynch appeared on the game show "Idiotest" with Ben Gleib and comedian Michael Kosta. Drew and Michael only got a single question right and won $40 in the first round. However, they did not win any money in the second round, Head-to-Head Battle and didn't have to go to the Smart Money Round. Nonetheless, Drew and Michael got $1,000 for their charities.
