Don Von Tress

Don Von Tress is an American country music songwriter. He is known for writing the song "Achy Breaky Heart", which was recorded by Billy Ray Cyrus.[1]

Von Tress was a member of the United States Army and served as a helicopter pilot starting in 1969. At the time of "Achy Breaky Heart"'s success, Von Tress lived in Cypress Inn, Tennessee with his wife, Jeanne.[2]
