Deep Scan is an arcade game released in 1979 by Sega. The game involves commanding a battleship which can drop mines from either the left or right in an attempt to destroy enemy submarines. The player must also avoid mines launched from these submarines, which will increase every time a target is missed. The game also featured a radar on the bottom of the screen, a gaming innovation that would be popularized on the mega-seller Defender two years later, as well as full RGB color graphics, which was still a new feature in 1979. Some arcade cabinates bundle the game with Invinco, a Space Invaders clone released by Sega in the same year.

The game was ported to the Atari 2600 in 1983 (as Sub-Scan), and was also included as a minigame in the Sega Saturn title Die Hard Arcade, in which every 200 points earned gives the player an extra credit.
