David Weightman (born 28 September 1971, in Brisbane) is an Australian rower.

Weightman grew up in Brisbane and attended the Brisbane Grammar School where he learnt to row in 1984. His senior rowing was with the University of Queensland Boat Club in Brisbane and the Mosman Rowing Club in Sydney. Weightman was a scholarship holder at the Australian Institute of Sport from 1993 to 1996 and was based in Canberra.

He won the silver medal with Robert Scott as the Australian men's coxless pair at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. The pair believed they had a real chance of gold and threw everything at their opponents in the final 500 metres of a thrilling race but had to be content with second place behind legendary British rower Steve Redgrave and his team-mate Matthew Pinsent.

Weightman made his international debut in 1989 at the Junior World Championships in Hungary where he took fourth place with the Australian men's junior coxed four. As a member of the Australian men's eight he competed at World Championships in Austria (1991) and Finland (1995). He took 5th place with the Australian men's coxed four at the World Championships in the Czech Republic (1993) and USA (1994).

Weightman won a number of Australian rowing titles including the men's coxless pair in 1996 and 2000. Weightman also won gold medals at the Lucerne International Regatta in the men's coxed four (1994) and men's coxless pair (1996).
