David Jones (writer)

David S. Jones is a British writer from London, England, who created the concept of the children's television series Fireman Sam, with Dave Gingell.[1]

In 2012, Jones was detained for an hour at Gatwick Airport following concerns over an allegedly racist remark.[2] In July 2016, the television station Channel 5 removed an episode of Fireman Sam in which a page from the Koran is seen being trodden on by one of the characters.[3]
