Daniel Newman (politician)

Daniel Newman is a New Zealand politician who is an Auckland Councillor.

Newman served one term as a Manukau City councillor, representing Manurewa from 2007 to 2010.[1][2][3]

In January 2013, Newman resigned his position on the Wiri Licensing Trust.[4]

Following the 2013 elections, Newman became the Manurewa Local Board chairman.[5]

At the 2016 Auckland elections, Newman was elected to the Auckland Council, replacing incumbent Calum Penrose. He also stood for the seven-member Counties Manukau District Health Board, finishing eighth.[6] He made his maiden council speech on 2 November 2016.[7][8]
