Damodar Raao is an Indian Composer, Singer, Record producer, and live Performer. His music genre is about acoustic folk with some trace of Indian classical music.[1]

Career

In 2000 Damodar got his first break as a singer in the Hindi film "Shaitan Tantrik" which was composed by Nikhil Vinay and lyric by Vinay Bihari.

Later in the end of the year 2007 Raao moved with his family for mumbai. In the starting of 2008 he got chance to compose music for a low budget Hindi film "Once More" aka "Gorakh Dhandha".

Awards and honors

In the year 2014 he got Best music director award of the year 2012 by Darshnik Mumbai Press Media Award[2] and he was also honoured by Aapki Awaz Foundation for Best Music Director & Mumbai Gaurav Award of the year 2014 for the Bhojpuri film Majnu Motorwala[3] Damodar Raao is honored with Chhatrapati Shivaji Gaurav Award in the year 2016 by Darshnik News Paper nad Evershine Mitramandal in mumbai.[4]
