Dago García
Darío Armando García Granados, more known like Dago García (Bogota, 11 February 1962), is a libretista, producer, director of cinema and social communicator. Current vice-president of production of the Channel Snail. It is one of the libretistas more recognised of Colombia.
Personal life
It worked like Disc Jockey in “Quiebracanto”.[1] Father of two girls, the minor of 18 years and the elder of 26 years, his first wife called Marta Osorio the one who at present is actress. From the 2000 coexists with the journalist María Mercedes Sánchez To. More known like Mechaz. It is Brother of Mario Iván García Granados, the one who at present is director and executive producer of the programmer of the Channel Thirteen, Productions Dago García Limited. This programmer was founded on 1 November 1999 like a producer of cinema and incorporated like dealer of Television in August of the 2005 that presented him to the bidding of the Channel Thirteen and went out favourable on 1 January 2006 with 2.0 daily hours and 1.5 weekly hours.

Dago Has been writer of television, theatre and cinema from the decade of the 90, during which has written and produced more than thirty series and soap operas (some associated with Luis Felipe Salamanca)equally graduate of the University Externado of Colombia, between his series are: “Pedro the Scaly” (2001), “Main Sins” (2002), “The saga” (2004), between others, that have been not only of big recordación and but besides it has been awarded by national and Latin American means like the prizes Simón Bolívar, India Catalina and Tv and Novels and prize The Time to Better Libretista and Better Soap opera.[2] Also it obtained the prize to Better Libretista and Better Production in the Latin American meeting of soap operas of 2004, in Uruguay.Dago With the films: The woman of the high flat and Position viciada obtained Prize Cinemateca Distrital 25 years to the best script, nominated by Colombia to the Prizes Goya 1998.With: it Is better to be rich that poor participated in the Official Selection in the Festivals of Cartagena, Chicago, Montreal, Miami, Villaverdey.
Dago García Productions Ltda producing and cinematographic distributor, was created by Dago García and the director of photography Juan Carlos Velásquez in the year 1995, and from 1999 has attained to take out annually in the market a film that looks for the connection of the Colombian village in general. Of this company Dago has been producing and screenwriter of several films.
Before 2002, García had been professor of chair of script of the Externado, the Javeriana, Jorge Tadeo Lozano, the Rosary, the Head office, the Minute of God and of the International School of Cinema and Television of Saint Antonio of the Bathrooms, Cuba.
