DZOE-TV, channel 11, is a television station owned by ZOE Broadcasting Network. As part of an agreement with GMA Network, is the flagship station of Philippine all-news and lifestyle oriented television network GMA News TV; The station is operated by GMA Network Inc. Its studios are located the 22nd floor, Strata 2000 Building, Emerald Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City, and at the GMA Network Center at the corner of Timog Avenue and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue in Quezon City and the transmitter is located at GMA Compound, Barangay Culiat, Tandang Sora, Quezon City.

History

The Channel 11 frequency under the DWXI-TV call letters in Metro Manila was originally granted to a joint venture between the leaders of two major Filipino religious movements, Mike Velarde (of the El Shaddai movement) and Eddie Villanueva (of Jesus Is Lord Church), however disputes between the two leaders would result in Villanueva being awarded full ownership of the station from the Philippine Congress.

In April 13, 1998, JIL Church launches its own TV network as ZOE TV on Channel 11 (it also changed its callsign to DZOE-TV) with ZOE Broadcasting Network, Inc. as the new corporate name.

In 1999, Enternet leased airtime on DZOE-TV, simulcasting CNBC Asia during the daytime hours. Contract disputes would lead to the agreement ending in 2002.

In November 2005, GMA Network established an agreement with ZOE Broadcasting Network, where in exchange for providing updated equipment to their facilities, GMA would be able to operate and program DZOE-TV. Upon the takeover by GMA, at that time the Channel 11's transmitter was moved from Strata 2000 Building in Ortigas Center, Pasig City to GMA transmitter compound in Tandang Sora Avenue, Barangay Culiat, Quezon City (At this time, it increased its transmitting power from 40 kW to 100 kW), while ZOE TV's studios will remained at Strata 2000 Building in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. DZOE-TV became a translator of DWDB-TV, which began airing GMA's new network QTV (later renamed Q).

The simulcast would last until 2007, when DWDB-TV signed off in order to allow channel 27 to be used for future digital television trial broadcasts of DZBB-TV. As a result, Q programming would remain on DZOE-TV until February 21, 2011, when the Q network signed off, and replaced by GMA News TV on February 28.
