Cumbala Hill

Cumbala Hill (also spelled Cumballa) is a hill and upmarket neighbourhood in South Mumbai. Named in the lists of the top 5 most expensive residential areas to live in India, for decades, Cumbala Hill's property prices are among the highest on the planet. The hill is at an elevation of 56 metres (184 ft). The most expensive locality in India, along with Malabar Hill, its residents belong to wealthy families of business, trade and other professions continued since generations. It is home to the most number of billionaires in Mumbai along with Malabar Hill.

Consulates and High Commissions are located here: namely the Japanese, Indonesian, South African, Italian, Swiss etc. It is called Diplomat's Hill or Ambassador's Row by residents.

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani's $1.5 billion dollar home Antilia is located here as well as numerous bungalows dating back to the British Raj.

It is the only place in Mumbai to have a swiss chalet as a private home as well as residences of prominent ministers and billionaires.

Introduction

Cumballa Hill is an extremely affluent district of South Mumbai flanked by the sea on the West, Altamount Road on the East, Malabar Hill on the South and Mahalaxmi on the North.
