Crüe Fest

Crüe Fest was a summer 2008 tour by Mötley Crüe, which commenced on July 1, 2008 and concluded on August 31, 2008. It featured Mötley Crüe themselves, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx:A.M., and Trapt. The tour was first formulated in January 2008 by Nikki Sixx. Shortly afterwards, the idea was established to do a tour with both bands Sixx is currently a member of, Mötley Crüe and Sixx:A.M.. The idea of Crüe Fest was then created, with Mötley Crüe's intention of bringing a new touring festival of 'bands that embody the spirit of rock and roll'[2] in the same vein as Ozzfest. The new official Mötley Crüe website, , had promised a special announcement and on April 15, 2008. Mötley Crüe hosted a press conference, where the intentions of the Crüe Fest tour were announced and the band premiered their "Saints of Los Angeles" video, as well as performing "Kickstart My Heart" and "Saints of Los Angeles".[1][2]
