Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP) formally known as Agricultural Prices Commission is a decentralized agency of the Government of India. It was established in the year 1965 as Agricultural Prices Commission and renamed to Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices in the year 1985.[1]

Mission

It was established to maintain the recommend Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) to motivate cultivators and farmers to adopt advanced and latest technology in order to get optimum utilization of resources and increase productivity.[1][2]

Administration

Padma Shri Ashok Gulati served as chairman of the CACP from 2011 to 2014.[3]
