Colleen Shannon (born April 14, 1978)[1] is an American DJ, actress, and model known as is Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for January 2004 and the magazine's 50th anniversary Playmate.[1]
Early life
Shannon was born in Alaska[1] and was raised in Pelican, Alaska.[2] She attended high school in California.[3] She lives in Los Angeles, California.[4]
Career
Colleen Shannon was Playboy's 50th Anniversary Playmate in 2004.[5] She also was featured in Playboy videos.[3] Shannon is a disc jockey, using the tagline "the world's sexiest DJ."[4] She has performed with Snoop Dogg, Paul Oakenfold, and Funkmaster Flex.[2] Shannon has DJ'd at Harrah's Atlantic City,[6] the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa,[7] and LG Fashion Week.[8] Shannon has also performed internationally in Lebanon,[9] Abu Dhabi,[10] Sweden, Mexico, South Africa and elsewhere.[3]
She has appeared on How I Met Your Mother[2] and in Miss Cast Away and the Island Girls.[3] Shannon has also been featured in OK!, Maxim, and Loaded.[3]
Legal issues
She was arrested in August 2012 for smuggling her Canadian boyfriend, Robert Skojo, into the United States. He was smuggled over the border at the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation in New York. Shannon and Skojo were arrested at Fort Covington, New York. Shannon pleaded guilty, in June 2013, of illegally "transporting an alien." In October 2013 she was sentenced to four months in United States Federal Prison and to pay a $5,000 fine.[4]
