Christopher Daykin

Christopher Daykin (born 18 July 1948)[1] CB is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and was the Government Actuary for the United Kingdom from 1989 to 2007.[2][3] He is the second longest holder of the post.

He was president of the Institute of Actuaries between 1994 and 1996.[3] He was awarded a CB. He was presented with an Honorary Doctor of Science from City University London 1995 http://www.city.ac.uk/alumni

Daykin has published reports on issues such as the state pension scheme and co-authored the book Practical Risk Theory for Actuaries (ISBN 0-412-42850-4).

Early life

He has a first class mathematics degree from Pembroke College, Cambridge University and attended Merchant Taylors' School, London.
