Chris Jones is a Welsh semi-professional footballer currently playing for Cymru Alliance side Porthmadog. A former professional with Leeds United,[2] Jones is currently in his fourth season with City. He made several appearances for Leeds and was heavily involved with the first team. Chris was playing with the likes of Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Rio Ferdinand, Scott Carson and Alan Smith during his spell with the Yorkshire outfit.

Youth career

Jones started off playing for Pwllheli, his local team, at a very young age. He was immediately spotted by scouts and Chester City introduced him to their youth system. From there on numerous clubs were after Jones' services. He then signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers before quickly being targeted by Leeds United scouts which led to the club immediately approaching the player. Jones then put pen to paper for Leeds United and also went on to make several appearances for Wales U19 and U21. He was thought to be one of the best youth products at the time for Leeds but was unfortunately released along with a number of other players when the club hit bankruptcy.
