Christopher Michael Devenski (born November 13, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Career

Devenski played college baseball at California State University, Fullerton. He played for the Woodstock River Bandits, a summer league team in 2011. He was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 25th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft.[1] He made his professional debut with the Great Falls Voyagers. He started 2012 with the Kannapolis Intimidators before being traded to the Houston Astros in August as a player to be named later for Brett Myers.[2] He started his Astros career with the Lexington Legends. In September he threw a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts.[3] Devenski pitched 2013 and 2014 with the Quad Cities River Bandits, Lancaster JetHawks and Corpus Christi Hooks. He pitched 2015 with Corpus Christi and was named their pitcher of the year.[4][5] He was promoted to the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies for the playoffs and pitched seven one-hit innings to help Fresno win the Triple-A National Championship.[6]

Devenski made his MLB debut on April 8, 2016.[7]
