Childs (Surrey cricketer)

Childs (Surrey cricketer) refers to a noted Surrey and All-England cricketer of the 18th century. Personal details of Childs, including his first name, have not been found in surviving records.

Childs was active when cricket's statistical record began in the 1772 season and it is believed he had by then been playing for several years and was in the closing phase of his career.[1]

Primarily a batsman, he was recorded in nine first-class matches from 1772 until 1774, playing four times for All-England and five times for Surrey.[2][3][4]
