Chhidru (Urdu: چهِدرُو), is a village and union council of Mianwali District in the Punjab province of Pakistan.[1] It is part of Mianwali Tehsil and is located at 32°32'36N 71°46'25E.[2]

General

In Sanskrit, Chhidru means white stone. It is that place from which Indian time scale of geology starts. The mountain covered with snow, before 6 thousand years. Old Greeks journals spoke of snow, which is why they loved to live nearby the mountainous area. Mermandes, now famous village, was once fort of Greeks.
