Charles Noel, 3rd Earl of Gainsborough
Charles William Francis Noel, 3rd Earl of Gainsborough DL (20 October 1850 – 17 April 1926) was a British peer.
He succeeded his father, Charles Noel, 2nd Earl of Gainsborough, to the earldom in 1881.
He married, firstly, Augusta Mary Catherine Berkeley (d. 1877) on 9 May 1876. They had one daughter:
- Lady Agnes Mary Catherine Noel (9 October 1877 - 1 March 1915). She died unmarried and without issue.
He married, secondly, Mary Elizabeth Dease (d. 17 November 1937) on 2 Feb 1880. They had five children:
- Lady Norah Ida Emily Noel (4 January 1881 - 23 May 1939). She married Robert Charles Graf Bentinck (London, 5 December 1875 - 12 March 1932) on 8 September 1915. They had two children:
- Brydgytte Blanche Bentinck (11 November 1916 - 5 September 2010). She married Jonkheer Adrian Hendrik Sibble van der Wyck (The Hague, 22 June 1906 - 4 November 1973) on 2 February 1937 in London. They had five children:
- Caroline Norah Frederique Adrienne van der Wyck (b. 1 Jun 1938). She married Baron K. J. A. Collet d'Escury in May 1961. They had four children:
- Baron Guyon Adolf André Collet d'Escury (b. 25 Apr 1962)
- Baroness Juliette Brydgytte Blanche Collet d'Escury (b. 17 Aug 1963)
- Baroness Marina Caroline Norah Collet d'Escury (b. 30 Mar 1965)
- Baron Robert Willem Frederick Collet d'Escury (b. 1970)
- Brydgytte Agnes Dawn van der Wyck (b. 6 June 1940). She married Paul Heinz Maria Dirk Vermeer (b. 10 July 1935) on 2 March 1968. They were divorced after having three children:
- Robert Paul Adriaan Henry Simon Vermeer (b. 14 October 1968)
- Fiona Victoria Regina Brydgytte Vermeer (b. 24 Mar 1970)
- Nadia Nora Noel Vermeer (b. 1971)
- Reina Jeanne Woltera van der Wyck (b. 2 Dec 1942). She married Hendrik Willem van Harreveld (b. 1939) on 21 September 1973. They had three children:
- Hugo Johannes Hendrik van Harreveld (b. 1974)
- Wendela Blanche Catherine van Harreveld (b. 1977)
- Diederik Godard Adriaan Roelant van Harreveld (b. 1980)
- Evert Rein Robert Henry van der Wyck (b. 12 August 1945)
- Douglas Roderick Arthur Duncan van der Wyck (b. 9 Aug 1955)
- Caroline Norah Frederique Adrienne van der Wyck (b. 1 Jun 1938). She married Baron K. J. A. Collet d'Escury in May 1961. They had four children:
- Henry Noel Bentinck, 11th Earl of Portland
- Brydgytte Blanche Bentinck (11 November 1916 - 5 September 2010). She married Jonkheer Adrian Hendrik Sibble van der Wyck (The Hague, 22 June 1906 - 4 November 1973) on 2 February 1937 in London. They had five children:
- Lady Clare Mary Charlotte Noel (1882 - 11 March 1962). She married Charles Mervyn King (d. 25 January 1965) on 2 October 1902. They had one daughter.
- Arthur Edward Joseph Noel, who succeeded his father as the 4th Earl of Gainsborough
- Charles Hubert Francis Noel (1885 - 1947) Capt. OBE. He married May Dick, dau. of Brig. Gen. Archibald Campbell Douglas Dick CB CMG, of Pitkerro, co. Angus, and had issue.[3]
- Robert Edmund Thomas More Noel (1888 - 1918) Capt.[4]
