Boto people

The Boto or Bot people are a community found in Jammu and Kashmir.

Social status

As of 2001, the Boto people were classified as a Scheduled Tribe under the Indian government's reservation program of positive discrimination.[1]

Famous people

Indian politician Tsering Samphel is a member of the Boto people.[2]
