Bokito is a town and commune in the Center Province of Cameroon in the Mbam & Inoubou division. It is situated approximately 20km from Bafia. It consists of more than 10 villages: Assala, Bakoa, Begny, Bokaga, Bongando, Okolé, Kedia, Ossimb I, Ossimb II, Tchekos, Yorro, Tobagne and Omeng. The Yambassa are the primary ethnic group. Other groups include, Lemandé (Tchekos) and Mma'ala (Omende,Yangben) in Bafia. It has a sub-divisional health center known as CMA de Bokito and a market active on Monday. They also have a public library, two high schools, and many shops in and around the center of the town.
