Benz Circle is one of the busiest chowks (roundabout / traffic circle) and a prominent landmark located on Bandar Road in the Indian City of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.[1] Two highways NH5 and NH9 intersect at this junction.
History
Previously there was a Benz Company beside this Junction and this junction was named as benz circle.Later Benz Company was removed but still people refer this junction as benz circle and bus stop near this circle as "benz company busstop".
Traffic
Benz Circle is most busiest junction in vijayawada with an average of 57,000 vehicles crossing daily.[2] A flyover near Benz circle was included in the road-widening project and Widening of "Vijayawada- Machilipatnam Highway" after Benz Circle towards east and this widening of road was cancelled later.[3]
Property
After State Government announcing Capital in and around Vijayawada Region,Land values near Benz Circle have risen to 1.2 lakh per sq yard making it richest place in Andhra Pradesh including Common Capital Hyderabad.[4]
