Benjamin Richard "Ben" Noll (born November 14, 1981) is a former American football guard in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Rams and the Detroit Lions. He played college football at Pennsylvania.

Early years

Noll played high school football at Saint Louis Priory School in St. Louis, where he earned All-Conference, All-Metro and All-State honors in his senior year. He also practiced basketball and was a member of the school's rugby club.

He went on to play college football at the University of Pennsylvania, and attended the Wharton School of Business. He became a starter as a junior. The next year, he helped his team achieve an undefeated season (10-0 overall).[1] He finished his eligibility after playing in 39 games (20 starts).

Professional career

St. Louis Rams (first stint)

Noll was signed by the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent after the 2004 NFL Draft.[2] He was waived on September 5.

Dallas Cowboys

He was claimed off waivers by the Dallas Cowboys on September 6, 2004.[3] He started one game at right guard (the season finale), was declared inactive in 11 and as DNP in 3 contests. The next year he played in 4 games, before being deactivated for the following 7, until being released on November 30, 2005, to make room for Cory Procter.[4]

St. Louis Rams (second stint)

On December 2, 2005, he was claimed off waivers by the St. Louis Rams, and was declared inactive for the final 4 games. He was cut on September 1, 2006.

Detroit Lions

On December 13, 2006, he was signed by the Detroit Lions to their practice squad. He was released on September 1, 2007 and re-signed to the practice squad.[5]

Personal life

After he retired, Noll moved to North Carolina, where he works as a business consultant. He married on October 23, 2010.
