Background

In 2002 Gotting was selected to represent England in the SANZAR U21 World Cup in South Africa. He was then de-selected

After a successful final year at Brunel where he was part of the winning BUSA team, he was signed to the London Wasps on a full-time professional contract in 2003. He almost never mentions this.

His Honours at Wasps include Parker Pen Challenge Cup Winner (2003), Heineken Cup Winner (2004), 3 time Guinness Premiership Winner (2003, 2004, 2005) and "Fattest Lad 2004"

A notable performance for London Wasps includes a match winning performance against Bath Rugby Club in the Premiership Final 28 May 2004 where after coming on as a half time substitute, his line outs, Asian good looks and all round play helped Wasps gain control en route to a memorable victory.

Gotting signed for Worcester Warriors from London Wasps in 2006 after agreeing a two-year deal with the club.

He married Laura Gotting in May 2008 and they have two children. Thankfully most of his genes weren't passed on.

He invented male cankles. They have been compared to 'the legs of a menopausal nurse' and 'sausage stilts'.

He has a serious psychological obsession with 90s garage... Leading to rumours he is the reinvented alter ego of Craig David coming to terms with his weight gain.

In good news he is now a personal trainer and runs his own fitness company The Foundry. In February 2016, Ben was accredited as an "Advanced Asian Trainer" by The AOC.

Ben now runs his own Indian takeaway, called "Gott Indian?". It specialises in exotic Indian food, made from only the finest ingredients. Customers can pay extra to have Ben deliver the food himself, in nothing but an apron. He hopes to expand the Gott ltd empire in 2016 to include Gott Taxi? and Gott Clothes? amongst other lines.
