Belleza Argentina (Miss Mundo Argentina) is a national beauty pageant in Argentina to select a representative to the Miss World contest.

History

National franchises

As of 2006 Miss Argentina has been reformatted to held national pageant in separate pageant. Nowadays, there are two national competitions to select the official candidates for Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International pageants.

The Miss Universo Argentina winner will represent Argentina at the Miss Universe pageant and Belleza Argentina or Miss Mundo Argentina titleholders will represent their country as well at the Miss World and Miss International pageants.

Before 2003 the 1st Runner-up of Miss Argentina will represent her country at the Miss World. As of 2003, Committee of Miss Argentina has created a separate pageant called Belleza Argentina or Miss Mundo Argentina to select its representative for Miss World and Miss International. Argentina has two winners Miss World in 1960 with Norma Cappagli and 1978 with Silvana Suárez.

Representatives at Miss International

Before 2007 the 2nd Runner-up of Miss Argentina will represent her country at Miss International. As of 2007, The license of Miss International was joining with Miss Mundo Argentina to select its representative for Miss International pageant. Argentina has only one winner Miss International in 1967 with Mirta Massa.
