Barbara Herman is an American philosopher, and Griffin Professor of Philosophy and Professor of Law, at University of California Los Angeles. She was a 1985 Guggenheim Fellow.[1]

Life

Herman earned her Ph.D. in philosophy from Harvard University, where she wrote a dissertation supervised by John Rawls.[2]

Before moving to the philosophy department at U.C.L.A., Herman taught for several years in the philosophy department and law school at the University of Southern California.
