Plot

Madhavan (Dileep), an educated youth from a small village of Idukki, comes to Kochi to stay with his brother's family after his brother Sudhakaran (Ganesh Kumar)'s death. Sudhakaran was a customs officer. While applying for the death claim the insurance company rejects the claim citing the reason that Sudhakaran was murdered and it was not an accidental death.

Meanwhile, Madhavan marries Manimekala (Lakshmi Menon)an insurance agent who is unfortunately raped by Karimban John and his goons. Madhavan murders the rapists and tries to find the mystery behind his brother's death.

It is later revealed that Sudhakaran threatens to complain to the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) about the illegal smuggling activities done by Moorthy aka SRK (Babu Namboothiri). Although Sudhakaran considers SRK as his father, SRK murders Sudhakaran and through CI Jeevan, reports it as an accidental death.

In the end Madhavan murders SRK and due to lack of evidence is not jailed. Later Madhavan and Manimekala return to their native and live happily.

Cast

Reception

The film received mixed reviews from the audience and negative reviews from the critics. The film was awaited with huge hype due to the previous blockbuster film Runway from the duo Joshiy-Dileep. But it failed to meet expectations. The film had an average run at the box office in the ramzan season.

Controversy has stemmed from the copyright infringement of the film's posters and has as yet remained un-addressed by Warner Bros. [1][2]

The music of the film is composed by Deepak Dev with lyrics penned by Harinarayan. The music album has two songs:

Track Song Title Singer(s)
