Athiyuthu is a village located 17 km(10 Miles) from the center of Ramanathapuram district, Tamil Nadu, India.^[1] It has some similar places nearby, such as Chittarkottai, Panaikulam, Pudhuvalasai Alagankulam and Aatrangarai.

This village has two sub-divisions namely Athiyuthu old area and Ramzan nagar new area and are controlled by Village Panchayat President and jamath

Every month they will conduct a meeting. And in that every meeting they will discuss about every matters that happened in the previous month. They fill also perform the financial operations. And per rule, for every year they need to change the committee members.

Clubs

There are two youth clubs found in this village. They are Jamaliya Muslim Valibar Sangam (JMVS) and Vahidhiya Muslim Valibar Sangam (VMVS).

Education

Once upon a time the education here was very poor. But nowadays, the youngones from here are very much interested in gathering education by moving to many other places like Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Thanjavur, Trichy and so on.

Sec.School, Bukhariya Matriculation School, Velumanickam Matriculation school, MG Public Matriculation School, Bahurdeen Hr.Sec. School are some of the famous schools here and Syed Ammal Arts and Science college, Syed Hameedha Arts and Science College, Thasim Beevi Abdul Kadher College for Women, Syed Ammal Engineering College, Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Mohamed Sathak Polytechnic College are the famous colleges here.

Occupation

This village is an Agricultural based village. Half of the land areas in this village are agricultural lands. Once upon a time, the people had cultivated many varieties of crops but now only Paddy due to the climatic changes and many people had sold their lands. Most of the people had been moved to Malaysia, Singapore and so on. In Malaysia, our people have owned many hotels and restaurants.

Bus Routes

The Bus will arrive at the destination point in minimum 20 minutes or a maximum in 30 minutes........

In addition to this, the Parveen Travels has a journey to Chennai from Rameshwaram. So the Bus visits Athiyuthu Sharply from 7:00pm–7:30pm.
