The 7th season of the television series Arthur was originally broadcast on PBS in the United States from October 8, 2002 to October 21, 2002 and contains 10 episodes. The special "Arthur, It's Only Rock 'N' Roll" served as the premiere of this season. Jason Szwimmer replaced Oliver Grainger as the voice of D.W. Alex Hood is cast as the new voice of Alan "The Brain" Powers. Mark Rendall replaced Justin Bradley as Arthur (who would later dub on re-runs of season 6, due to Justin Bradley's dialogue being unfavorable). This is the last season in which Patricia Rodriguez voices Catherine Frensky, and this is the final season in which Mitchell Rothpan voices George Nordgren. The series won a Daytime Emmy in 2003 for Outstanding Sound Mixing - Live Action and Animation.

However, her first trip is nothing like she imagined it would be as they go to an Ethiopian restaurant, listen to a poetry slam and more.

Ants in Arthur's Pants: Arthur is doing a science project on ants to prove that he has PANTS by being patient, attentive, nosy, thoughtful, and systematic. However, after a minor accident in instructions, only one ant makes it into the ant farm. After he tries various ways to collect the ants by using food and a model of a queen ant, he accidentally ruins Francine's project, which involves rocks and sugar water. The sugar water attracts all the ants and the two combine their projects in the end.
Don't Ask Muffy: Muffy is starting an advice column and dreams of becoming famous like Hoprah Linseed but everyone gives their attention to another advice-giver. After she finds out that it is Molly, Muffy starts acting and resembling like Molly to discover her plan in having many followers.

To Tibble the Truth: Fearing that they may one day end up in jail for lying, the Tibble twins swear to always tell the truth. However, it goes out of hand because the Tibbles are too honest and alienate everyone else and each other.
Waiting to Go: Binky accidentally breaks the Brain's new watch playing soccer. After the game, the two are the only ones left at the soccer field while waiting for their parents to pick them up. At first, they think that something is delaying them, like ostriches or a wormhole. They try to find ways to spend time and tolerate each other while they wait.

Part 1: Lakewood Elementary has been chosen to put on a musical tribute for Elwood City's centennial. Problems occur with the choice of roles and creative differences, but these are eventually resolved. On opening night, Muffy has a guest list of past celebrities, guest stars, and Marc Brown, who are all sitting in the front row. However, Francine has not arrived and the flying saucer prop is accidentally destroyed by her dad's garbage truck. With this turn of events Buster locks himself in the janitor's closet.
Interstitial: Arthur and a few of his friends talk to Larry King about their centennial production.
Part 2: The show goes on without Francine. When she arrives, Buster, who made a makeshift alien costume out of janitorial supplies, enters onstage unscripted and entertains the bored audience. The entire production is deemed ruined as Buster accidentally tears the backdrop, but the show goes on better than expected as they realize that the audience enjoyed Buster's stunt. The audience cheers when the show is over.

Note: This was the 100th episode and Elwood City turns 100 in this episode.

Pick a Car, Any Car: The Reads have to replace the family car because the mechanic told them it would cost too much to fix it. Arthur likes the family car and fights to keep it from being sold to the mechanic. He makes a call to Car Talk, hoping they know how to fix it, and find out the problem (A rattle in the tailpipe), much to the mechanic's disappointment. Tom and Ray Magliozzi (the Car Talk guys) guest star as Click and Clack Tappet from Car Talk.
Jenna's Bedtime Blues: Jenna is reluctant to go to Muffy's annual slumber party because she still wets the bed. She goes and has a great time while trying to keep herself from needing to use her diaper when she sleeps. When her diaper is discovered, she finds out that the girls are understanding.

D.W.'s Time Trouble: D.W. is sick of being younger than Arthur. In a dream, she travels through time on a tricycle powered by radioactive clay. She and Nadine change the time line so that she is bought first at the baby store before Arthur. After a time travel mishap with the alternative Arthur and discovers responsibilities about being older, she realizes how much she appreciates having an older sibling.
Buster's Amish Mismatch: After a field trip to the Amish country to see how the Amish live, Buster changes his lifestyle. However, his Amish plan clashes with that of the city and he has only himself to help him with that lifestyle. Mrs. MacGrady tells Buster that his life style isn't Amish but they can eat what they want and ride in cars.

The World of Tomorrow: Binky had already failed Mr. Ratburn's class once and went on the sleepover at the Science Museum. This year, they are going again and he is just as bored as he was the first time. Interested in a new unopened exhibit about the future, he sneaks in when everyone else is asleep, only to be trapped in the model space transport. After a dream where he is trapped in the future with robots, he holds a new interest in science.
Is There a Doctor in the House?: Arthur and D.W. try to help out around the house when Jane is sick, but they end up making things worse when they forget a few things. When David catches a cold too, they try to fix their mistakes, fearing that they should have to learn to take care of things if their parents stay ill.

Prunella Sees the Light: Prunella is inviting Marina over for a Henry Skreever sleepover. However, she worries that Marina may not see the decoration in her room or may get injured because she is blind. Marina does not like the special treatment Prunella is giving her, and Prunella learns to treat Marina just like any other friend.
Return of the Snowball: D.W. finds that her snowball has returned (from "D.W.'s Snow Mystery"). She keeps it at bedside to prevent it from being stolen again, but it starts to melt. When Arthur does not answer accusations to his snowball theft, D.W. tricks the Brain to come over and investigate, only to discover that it was not actually her snowball but an unflavored snow cone.

Part 1: It is April 9th, and things seem to be normal in Lakewood Elementary until a fire breaks out. The fire affects everyone in various ways - Sue Ellen is devastated when her diary which she had since the first grade is burned during the fire. Arthur becomes worried when his father was in the school during the fire which causes him to worry that something could happen to him in the future. Binky is traumatized because of witnessing the fire, and Mr. Morris, the school janitor, is injured during the fire. As a result of the fire damage, the Lakewood students are temporarily placed at Mighty Mountain Elementary. Buster who was not there boasts to the Mighty Mountain students about the fire, much to the chagrin of Arthur, who feels that his father could have been seriously injured. Later on, Buster's mother decides to have Buster give Mr. Morris flowers at the hospital, where Buster learns that Mr. Morris is also asthmatic as well as a lover of chocolate. That evening, Arthur has a nightmare related to his father's catering job at an aquarium. The next day, the Lakewood students tries to return to normal, until someone pulls the fire alarm.
Part 2: The one who pulled the fire alarm turns out to be Binky who ends up having to write a confession and an apology to Mighty Mountain Elementary. Mr. Haney decides to have Binky do community service with Mr. Frensky who reveals to Binky that he used to be a volunteer firefighter. The day that Arthur's dad has the catering job at the aquarium, Arthur fakes being sick so he could stay, and when his father tries to ask about his recent behavior, Arthur admits that he has been extremely worried since the fire. Arthur's dad tells him that he was once overly concerned when his mother (Grandma Thora) got in a car accident, which made him worry every time she got in the car. He then teaches Arthur how to cope with his worrying. Lakewood reopens and the students return, but this causes Binky to panic, and it causes him to run from the school. He then meets up with Mr. Frensky who confesses to Binky that he was also shaken by his first fire as a firefighter, and teaches him that by talking to others, Binky can cope with his trauma. During the return to Mr. Ratburn's class, Buster learns that Mr. Morris is permanently retiring due to his injury and he is moving to New Mexico to live with his daughter. In the end, Sue Ellen writes down in the replacement journal Muffy got her that she never wants to experience something like this again. However, she learned an important lesson: If she and her friends stick together, they can overcome anything.
