ArmeniaNow was an independent[1][2] online news publication[3][4] based in Yerevan, Armenia. It was published in English and Armenian. The publication was founded in July 2002 and published its last issue in June 2016.[5][6] It was recognized as one of the principal web periodicals in Armenia.[7] ArmeniaNow had a staff of 20 journalists with John Hughes as its editor-in-chief.[8][9] Hughes is an American[10] and a progressive.[11]

ArmeniaNow was cited by various authors and political analysts[12][13][14][15] and international organizations such as Human Rights Watch,[16][17] Amnesty International,[18] and Freedom House.[19]
