Arkharinsky District (Russian: Архаринский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty in Amur Oblast, Russia. The area of the district is 14,355 square kilometers (5,542 sq mi).[5] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Arkhara.[2] Population: 17,186(2010 Census);[6] 21,068 (2002 Census);[9] 27,537(1989 Census).[10] The population of Arkhara accounts for 55.8% of the district's total population.[6]
