Arjun Jena is a cinematographer from Chennai.

Career

Early days

During 1990,[1] he joined Cinematographer P. C. Sreeram as assistant cameraman, working on such films as Thevar Magan (1992), Thiruda Thiruda (1993), May Madham (1994), and Padmashree Kamal Hassan's Pasavalai and Kurudhipunal. Later during 1996, he worked with cinematographer Jeeva as an operating cameraman on Tamil films like Indian, Vaali, Kushi, Ullasam and Run, and Hindi films Zor, Hera Pheri and Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar.

Independent work

Arjun Jena started his independent career in cinematography with Director Kathir for his Tamil feature film Kadhal Virus in the year 2000.

Arjun Jena's first film (Kadhal Virus) received a nomination at the National Award and won the Tamil Nadu State government award in 2002. Arjun Jena's very first experiment with the short film Silent Scream in the year 1998 was awarded National Film Award for Best Educational/Motivational/Instructional Film.

His other works include Oka Oorilo, a Telugu film directed by Ramesh Varma, Aegan[2] directed by Raju Sundaram, critically acclaimed Love Khichdi directed by Srinivas Vasyam and Ala Modalaindi, a Telugu romantic comedy directed by Nandini Reddy, which even successfully ran for over 100 days in Andhra Pradesh and outside India.
