Aoife Mannion (born 24 September 1995) is an English football defender who plays for Birmingham City L.F.C.[1]

Playing career

Club

Birmingham City, 2013–present

After advancing through Aston Villa's Centre of Excellence,[2] Mannion signed for Birmingham City F.C. in 2013.[3] On October 16, 2013, at the age of 18, she played in a match against PK-35 Vantaa in the first leg of the 2013-14 UEFA Women's Champions League Round of 32.[3] Birmingham defeated PK-35 Vantaa 1–0 and advanced to the Round of 16.[4] She re-signed for the Blues in 2016.[5][6]

International

Mannion has represented England on the under-15, under-17, under-19 and under-23 national teams.[3] She was a member of England's squad at the 2010 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship tournament and the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Canada. In May 2015, she was named to the England under-23 national team for the Nordic Tournament.[7][8] In March 2016, she played for the under-23 team at a tournament in La Manga, Spain.[9]
