Antoni Baraniak (right)

Antoni Baraniak (1904–1977) was the Archbishop of Poznan from 1957 to 1977.

He was born January 1, 1904, in Sebastianowie, He was the chaplain and Secretary of Polish primate August Hlond (1933–1948) and Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski (1949–1951) before becoming Auxiliary Bishop of Gniezno in the years 1951–1957. He was Archbishop of Poznań from 1957 to 1977. He died August 13, 1977, in Poznań.
