Anton Baraniak (born 20 June 1951 in Hlohovec) is a Czechoslovak male former weightlifter, who competed in the heavyweight class and represented Czechoslovakia at international competitions. He won the bronze medal at the 1982, 1983 and 1987 World Weightlifting Championships in the 110 kg category.[1] He participated at the 1980 Summer Olympics in the 100 kg event finishing seventh and at the 1988 Summer Olympics.[2] He furthermore won the bronze medal at the 1982 and 1983 European Championships and the silver medal at the 1985 European Championships.
