Anthony C. Ferrante is an American film director,[1] producer and writer,[1] perhaps best known for directing the 2013 film Sharknado[1] and the 2005 ghost story film Boo, which was his feature writing and directing debut.

Anthony C. Ferrante is a graduate of San Francisco State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Film Degree. He also attended Los Medanos College where he received an Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies Degree.

In addition to his film career, he has written a comic, Archie vs. Sharknado, which is a tie-in to Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! and is illustrated by Dan Parent.[2] Before moving to film work full time, Ferrante was the editor-in-chief of (the now defunct) Cinescape Magazine[3] and a writer for Fangoria. [4]
