Antón García Caro (1560-1624?) was a Spanish nobleman, Notary,[1] and Procurador of Buenos Aires.[2]

Biography

Born in Sevilla, Antón García was married to María Gómez de Sanabria or Méndez de Sotomayor (descendant of Spanish nobles).[3] Antón García Caro was second settler of Buenos Aires.[4] In 1583, received land grants in Luján.[5] His grandson Simón González de Acosta was Alcalde of Buenos Aires in 1648.[6]
