Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang (English: Dangerous Love or The Woman Fashioned from My Ribs) is an adaptation of Carlo J. Caparas' celebrated graphic novel, which in turn produced a film version in the 1980s starring Vivian Velez and Eddie Rodriguez. In the TV version, Joyce E. Bernal, with Topel Lee, directs Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera in a story of destiny, secrets and deception.[1] The series premiered on February 2, 2009 on GMA Network. It was aired internationally, with a two-day delay, on GMA Pinoy TV.

Premise

The story is about Homer Alcaraz (Dingdong Dantes), a young successful businessman who leads a monotonous life. On the other hand, Proserfina J. Valdez (Marian Rivera) is the complete opposite of Homer. She is a mysterious woman whom Homer surprisingly find in his bed one morning sleeping next to him. Proserfina is beautiful, feisty, down-to-earth but mysterious. Her beauty and her unconventional, free-spirited character immediately attract the very conservative Homer. Proserfina's presence changes the businessman's dull existence. Homer starts to fall in love with her and decides to develop a relationship with her but suddenly Prose disappears. Her disappearance is as mysterious as her appearance in Homer's bed. One day they cross paths again, but then again she vanishes as quickly as she entered his life,For the third time she reappear in his room. Homer has decided to find out more about her because of the reason that not only that he loves her but he also wants to unravel her mystery, which she always tries to hide from him. She is a woman full of intrigue who has been involved with a Syndicate which Homer needs to uncover. Despite the many danger, he decides to become a partner of the syndicate gang to find her and help her get out of the clutches of the leader of that gang... . The two lovers have to face with many obstacles and dangers in their quest for love.

DVD release

The series will be released onto DVD by GMA Records. The DVD distribution was released after the week the television series ended in six volumes with all 63 episodes.
