Andrew McCowie

Andrew McCowie (born 1875 in Cambuslang, Scotland) was a Scottish footballer who played as an inside right for Liverpool F.C. in The Football League. McCowie signed for Liverpool in 1896 from the amateur Scottish team Cambuslang Hibernian. He became a fixture in the Liverpool side, playing 19 matches in the 1897–98 season. The following season, he scored five goals in 12 matches as Liverpool finished runners-up to Aston Villa F.C.[1]

In 1899, McCowie joined Woolwich Arsenal, then in the Second Division, scoring seven goals in 28 league appearances (34 appearances overall). He moved to Middlesbrough F.C. early in the 1900-01 season and then to Chesterfield F.C. [2]
