Amisha Sethi[1] (born 30 August 1980) is an Indian author. Her novel "It doesn't hurt to be nice" [2] was recently published by Shristi Publishers.[3]

Early life & Personal Life

Born in a Delhi joint family, Amisha's father run a manufacturing business while her mother, is a homeopathy doctor. She is professionally trained in various dance forms like Contemporary, Salsa, Jazz and Free style. She is married and has a son. They currently reside in Bengaluru.

Education

She went to Delhi University for her bachelor’s in Sciences. She completed her full-time two years MBA from Amity Business School in 2002. She is also an executive scholar in marketing and sales management from Kellogg School of Management,[4] Northwestern University, USA

Professional life

Amisha has been a marketing and business leader [5] in brand marketing, strategy and international consumer marketing.[6] She has held the position of CMO global with a start-up based in Vancouver in 2014. She was the chief commercial officer [7] at AirAsia [8] in 2013[9] and the Director of Brand Marketing Asia [10] at BlackBerry.[11] She worked at BlackBerry [12] from 2006 to 2013.[13] She has also worked at Airtel from 2002 to 2006. She has won number of awards and recognition[14] for her work in marketing[15] and business in Asia Pacific region.

Book

Amisha is the Author of the book "It doesn't hurt to be nice" first released in September 2015. The book is the first of its kind[16] and talks about rediscovering life, with comedy, drama and spirituality. It is a story of a young girl and her hilarious, dramatic and enthralling experiences to understand the ultimate purpose of her life, which is – to be a better human with each passing day.[17] The book has been released by Srishti Publishers[18] and has been well received by the readers.[19]
