Amanda Loncar (born February 26, 1982) is an American film and television actress.

Early life

The eldest of three siblings, Amanda attended High School in Sacramento, Sacramento County, California, and moved to New York City, New York, at the age of 18 where she studied at The New Actors Workshop with George Morrison, Mike Nichols and Paul Sills for two years, in the same class with Michael Cassidy.

Career

She is known for her role as "Piper" on the 2006 Fox Television series The Loop. Her film credits include On the Road with Judas (2007), Live! (2007) and Lions for Lambs (2008).

Personal life

Amanda is recovering from stage 3 brain cancer. She underwent multiple brain surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

Hurling Career

Amanda is a notable sports star and started as wing forward for the St. Vincent's ladies Camogie team in the 2010 county final played in Croke Park. Amanda scored 1-4 before being sent off with 15 minutes remaining. St. Vincents held on for the win.
