María Amalia Matamoros Solís is a Costa Rican beauty queen who won the Miss World Costa Rica 2008 pageant and went on to represent her country in Miss World 2008 in Johannesburg, South Africa, on December 13, 2008.[1] She was not among the fifteen semi-finalists.

She has also competed Miss Latin America 2008, where she was a top twelve finalist, and Miss Continente Americano 2009. On October 29, 2009, she represented Costa Rica in Reina Hispanoamericana 2009 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, winning the Miss Photogenic title.
