Alfonso Mejía

Alfonso Amador Mejía Silva (born 16 December 1934 Mexico City, Mexico) is an actor best known for his lead role in "Los Olvidados" (known in the United States as The Young and the Damned), for which he won the Best Child Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1951. Director Luis Buñuel chose Mejía for the part.[1] After a successful career in the 50's and 60s in Mexico, Mejia retired from the acting industry.
