Alan Shirahama (白濱亜嵐 Shirahama Aran, born August 4, 1993) is a Japanese musician, dancer and actor. He is a member of Exile and also the leader of the Japanese all-male dance and music group Generations from Exile Tribe.[1]

Life and career

2009–2013

Shirahama was born in Ehime Prefecture on August 4, 1993. He was selected as Generations candidate member in July 2011. In April 2012 he became an official member. In January 2014, Hiro appointed Shirahama to be the leader of Generations.

2014–present: Breakthrough

On 27 April 2014, Shirahama was one of five people who passed the final audition to join Exile as performers, making him a concurrent member of both Exile and Generations.[2]

Personal life

Shirahama was born to a Japanese father and a Filipino mother.[3] He has an elder sister, Loveli, who is a fashion model and television personality.[4] In January 2013, the tabloid press reported that the idol singer and AKB48 member Minami Minegishi had spent the night at Shirahama's apartment.[5][6] After she shaved her head in penance for the scandal, the incident was reported widely even in the foreign media.[7][8][9] Shirahama ended up apologizing for the incident.[10]
