Ainthorpe is a village in the Scarborough district of the county of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated within the North York Moors National Park in the Esk Valley, a quarter of a mile south of Danby and 12 miles west of Whitby.[1][2]

There is a 16th-century hotel, the Fox & Hounds Inn, in the village.[3]
